BAMBAN, Tarlac — A vote-counting machine (VCM) at Anupul Elementary School in this town stopped accepting ballots on Monday (May 9) afternoon due to a technical problem, authorities said.

According to Edilein Tolentino, chairperson of clustered precinct 7, the faulty VCM was assigned to clustered precincts 7 009 A,B, and C, D.

“Hindi nagcacast ng ballot, ayaw ng tanggapin. Nareport na ng technician, waiting pa kami n’yan pero may laman na yan ” Tolentino told the Inquirer.

Grace Ann Maristela, Anupul Elementary School principal, said they had to borrow a VCM from another poll precinct to finish the voting process. INQ
