PARTIAL, UNOFFICIAL: Bongbong Marcos leads pres’l race by over 500,000 votes in first wave of results
MANILA, Philippines — Presidential candidate former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. leads in the presidential race by over 500,000 votes, based on the partial and unofficial count of the Commission on Elections’ (Comelec) transparency server.
Based on the partial and unofficial count as of 7:17 p.m., Marcos had over 958,219 votes. He was followed far behind by Vice President Leni Robredo, who has over 409,608 votes.
Boxer-turned-politician Senator Manny Pacquiao meanwhile comes in third with a total of 79,668 voters.
