LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines—Some newly registered voters and transferees were unable to find their names in the master list of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Legazpi City in Albay province.

Danny Belludo, in charge of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting-National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (PPCRV-Namfrel) in Albay District of Legazpi City, said at least eight voters in precincts in elementary schools in Estanza, Em’s Barrio, Albay Central and Bagumbayan repeatedly scanned the list of voters outside the polling centers, but did not find their names.

“Some of the voters brought their registration stub from Comelec, but they were not on the list,” he said.

After several attempts of searching for their names, the voters decided to go home, he added.  /ra
