PILI, Camarines Sur––The vote-counting machine (VCM) in precinct cluster 13 in Pili Central School in Pili town in Camarines Sur province encountered an error after the machine rejected the ballots around 9 a.m. Monday.

The support staff said they tried entering the ballots several times but the VCM would not take it.

The Comelec staff advised the queueing voters that they may leave their shaded ballots in the precinct and return if they would like to feed their ballots on the machine themselves.

Mariet Gulpay, 58, said they would wait for the replacement VCM before shading their ballots.

“We will just wait for it to be fixed because we have to watch it. Di bale mag hintay basta sigurado na kami yung maglalagay sa machine (It’s alright if we have to wait. At least we can be sure we will be the one to cast our votes),” she said.
