Robredo exercised her right to vote at Precinct 0064B of Carangcang Elementary School in Magarao town, Camarines Sur.

The Vice President is not voting in her hometown Naga City, after she decided upon the advice of her lawyers to transfer her voter registration to Magarao last October 2021, to be consistent with her present residence.

FEATURED STORIES

It could be remembered that Robredo’s move to Magarao drew controversy after several of her supporters thought she had finally decided to vie for the Camarines Sur gubernatorial post, as residing in Naga meant that she cannot run for the said position.

Robredo floated the idea of also running for governor instead of aiming for the presidency, which had prompted a local party to promise support in case she pushed through with that plan.

After she decided to run for president, Robredo supported former Camarines Sur 1st congressman Rolando “Nonoy” Andaya Jr.’s gubernatorial candidacy.

Robredo is leading the opposition slate, together with running mate Senator Francis Pangilinan, and seven senatorial candidates:

  • Senator Leila de Lima
  • Senator Risa Hontiveros
  • Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV
  • Former Ifugao Governor Teddy Baguilat
  • Human rights lawyer Chel Diokno
  • Lawyer and writer Alex Lacson
  • Labor leader Sonny Matula

Pangilinan on the other hand is expected to cast his vote at the Inchican Elementary School, in Silang, Cavite.
