MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid weather is forecast during the national and local elections on Monday in Luzon but chances of rain still remain especially in the afternoon and evening, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
This is still due to the prevailing easterlies, said Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil in a weather report on Sunday late afternoon.
Meanwhile, the area of Caraga and Davao Region will experience overcast skies with chances of scattered rain due to the easterlies.
The rest of Mindanao, together with the entire Visayas, on the other hand will experience generally fair weather with possible rain in the afternoon and evening.
(We remind our compatriots to always bring protection from the heat of the sun, especially those who will vote and go to their respective precincts.)
(We advise them to bring drinking water to avoid the risk of heat stroke, we remind those who will vote especially our senior citizens or those with existing medical conditions.)
