CQCU routs Forza in UFL Division 2

THE CEBU Queen City United (CQCU) FC climbed to top 3 in division 2 after annihilating Forza FC, 6-1, in yesterday’s United Football League (UFL), which was aired live over IBC 13.

After nailing its fourth straight win, the Cebuano team now has 16 points after having a win-draw-loss record of  5-1-2 .

Rene Menchavez Jr. opened the scoring spree at the 20th minute of the ballgame. Rommel Cuizon added another one in the second half with already 52 minutes in the ballgame.

Forza shaved off CQCU’s lead to one on a penalty kick by Isaac Agyee five minutes later.

After that, CQCU became unstoppable with Dan Marnel Villarico finding the back of the net at the 65th minute, followed by Marion Rey Cubelo in the 88th minute, Jaymile Conmigo in the 90th minute and John Michael Flores sealing CQCU’s win with his goal two minutes later.

CQCU will be returning home for another match today this time in the Men’s Open of the 14th Aboitiz Football Cup.

They will be facing Subangdaku Football Club in the last match of the day at the Aboitiz Sports Field.

The team used to lord it over in bracket A of the Men’s Open until they started defaulting in their matches.
