Romblon’s most wanted falls
CITY OF CALAPAN – The most wanted person in Romblon province was arrested Saturday afternoon for charges of statutory rape in San Fernando town, according to theMindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan (Mimaropa) police.
Police Colonel Raynoldo Rosero, Romblon police chief, said Eddie Mangao, 53, was arrested by police armed with a warrant of arrest issued issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 106 in Cajidiocan for two counts of statutory rape.
Mangao, a resident of Barangay (village) España, is under police custody.
The arrest was led by San Fernando police, together with the operatives of the provincial and regional intelligence units.
Mimaropa police recorded 226 arrests of most wanted persons since January this year, compared to 104 arrests in the same period last year, said the report.
