MANILA, Philippines — Hot, humid weather, with cloudy skies and rain showers are expected in Metro Manila and the rest of the country on Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.
The state weather bureau said cloudy skies and rain showers are expected in the extreme Northern Luzon, particularly in Batanes and Babuyan Islands, due to the frontal system.
Rain showers are also expected in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao in the afternoon and evening.
Temperature is expected to rise to 35 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila and Tuguegarao; 33 degrees Celsius in Laoag and Legazpi; 32 degrees Celsius in Tagaytay; 31 degrees in Puerto Princesa; and 24 degrees Celsius in Baguio.
Down south, the temperature could reach as high as 33 degrees Celsius in Iloilo and Cebu; 32 degrees Celsius in Tacloban, 33 degrees Celsius in Zamboanga; 32 degrees Celsius in Davao; and 31 degrees Celsius in Cagayan de Oro.
No gale warning was raised by the weather bureau, which added that no weather is expected to develop within the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three days.
