MANILA, Philippines — The entire country would continue to experience generally fair weather on Friday, although rain was still likely to occur due to thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The frontal system in the far-northern part of Luzon and easterlies have remained influential in the country’s climate, the state weather bureau added.

“Sa Luzon area, patuloy pa rin ang maaliwalas at maalinsangang panahon na may tiyansa ng isolated or localized thunderstorms,” said Pagasa weather specialist Raymond Ordinario in a weather report late Thursday afternoon.

(In the Luzon area, clear and warm weather will continue with a chance of isolated or localized thunderstorms.)

“Sa Visayas at Mindanao, patuloy pa rin ang maaliwalas na panahon na merong mga kasamang pulo-pulong mga pagulan o pagkidlat at pagkulog,” he added.

(In Visayas and Mindanao, clear weather will also continue with isolated rain or lightning and thunder.)

Ordinario also assured that no storms or low-pressure areas were expected to enter or form within the Philippine area of responsibility over the weekend or in the next five days.

Pagasa then issued the following temperature range in key cities/areas of the country for Friday:

No gale warning was likewise raised by Pagasa over the country’s surrounding seaboards and in-land seas, but moderate to rough seas were forecast in the northern, eastern, and western coasts of Luzon.
