Love triangle eyed in teen’s slay

A 16-year-old boy was mauled and stabbed to death on Friday evening in front of his girlfriend by two motorcycle-riding men in Manila.

Mark Dan Mastrile, of Lanoria Street in Paco,  fought off his assailants but fell bloodied on the pavement from multiple stab wounds in the body.

He was brought to the Ospital ng Maynila where he was declared dead on arrival by attending doctors. His attackers, who both wore ski masks and crash helmets, fled.

SPO1 Antonio Ardales, of the Manila Police District (MPD) Sta. Ana Station 6, said the incident happened at around 6 p.m., Friday, along Osmeña Highway in San Andres Bukid.

Before the incident, the victim and his girlfriend  were walking along the highway when a motorcycle blocked their path.

One got off the motorcycle and punched the victim who fought back which prompted his companion to join in the scuffle and repeatedly stabbed the victim.
