UBAY, Bohol—Even in the absence of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, at least 30,000 people packed the rally organized by the Sara All–Uniteam Bohol at the Ubay Sports Complex here on Tuesday (May 3).
Organizers, led by Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado of Bohol’s second district, claimed that 30,000 joined the event with some supporters coming from different towns including Tagbilaran City, 124 kilometers from Ubay.
“They came here in Ubay to show their support,” said Aumentado, who is running against Gov. Arthur Yap in the 2022 elections.
Both Aumentado and Yap declared they were supporting Duterte who sent a pre-recorded video message. In her video message, she thanked her supporters and vowed to continue the Build, Build, Build program of her father, an ambitious infrastructure plan that would cost more than P4 trillion. Duterte also vowed to promote unity and bring about peace.
Before the rally, a caravan was held from the house of Aumentado in Dauis town to Tagbilaran City and the towns of Maribojoc, Loon, Tubigon, Clarin, Buenavista, Getafe and Talibon.
