Generally fair weather on Thursday throughout PH — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather will prevail throughout the country on Thursday with hot and humid conditions forecast over the entire Luzon, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

According to Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil in a weather report late Wednesday, hot and humid weather will prevail over the entire Luzon, with rain and lightning likely in the afternoon and evening.

“Kaya’t pinapaalalahanan natin ang ang ating mga kababayan na ugaliin laging magdala ng pananggalang sa init ng araw at stay hydrated po tayong lahat para maiwasan ang panganib ng heatstroke,” said Villamil.

The entire Visayas and Mindanao, on the other hand, will experience generally fair weather, but Villamil warned that isolated thunderstorms may still be common in parts of Mindanao.

Meanwhile, no storms or low pressure areas are expected to enter or form within the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three to five days.

Temperature range in key cities/areas according to Pagasa for Thursday:

Metro Manila: 24 to 34 degrees Celsius

Baguio City: 17 to 25 degrees Celsius

Laoag City:  25 to 33 degrees Celsius

Tuguegarao: 25 to 34 degrees Celsius

Legazpi City: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius

Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius

Tagaytay: 22 to 32 degrees Celsius

Kalayaan Islands: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius

Iloilo City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius

Cebu: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius

Tacloban City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius

Cagayan De Oro City: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius

Zamboanga City: 24 to 35 degrees Celsius

Davao City: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius

No gale warning is raised in the country’s surrounding seaboards and in-land seas, but moderate to rough seas should be expected in the northern, eastern, and western coasts of Luzon.
