WASHINGTON — Three Americans were Friday handed prison sentences for their involvement in an international child pornography ring, officials said.

Andrew Scott, 31, from Michigan was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty in 2010 to participating in a “child exploitation enterprise” and two counts of production of child pornography, the US Department of Justice said in a statement.

The other two, 68-year-old Woodrow Tracy from California and Justin Lee, 34, from Texas, were given prison time of eight and five and a half years, respectively, officials said.

Their sentences were the result of an international investigation into the “Lost Boy” online bulletin board, said the department in a statement.

The board, according to court documents, was used by men seeking a forum to trade child pornography, before being shut down about three years ago — federal authorities said 16 named defendants have been charged in the United States and arrested for their roles in the bulletin board.

“To date, 15 defendants have pleaded guilty or have been convicted at trial and one defendant passed away,” said the agency.
