CEBU CITY– Three persons were killed in a fire that hit a residential area in Barangay (village) Pardo in Cebu City on Saturday morning.
The police has yet to identify the fatalities since the victims were burned beyond recognition, said Chief Inspector Milbert Esguerra, chief of the Pardo Police Station.
The fire broke out at 9:58 a.m. in Upper Lusimba, Pardo. The fire department had yet to determine the cause of fire and the number of structures that were destroyed.
It was the sixth fire in March, which is Fire Prevention Month. Last Friday, 457 families or 2,170 persons were homeless after the fire destroyed 148 houses in densely populated village of Suba, Cebu City.
