MANILA, Philippines — Rain may prevail again in Caraga, Davao and Soccsksargen regions on Tuesday due to low pressure area (LPA) happening within the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) areas near Mindanao, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
According to Pagasa weather specialist Ana Clauren, the LPA was spotted 305 kilometers east of General Santos City. She added that it is still less likely to become a tropical depression within 48 hours.
“Sa bahagi ng Caraga, Davao region, at sa Soccsksargen, posible pa rin pong magpaulan diyan bukas ‘yung ITCZ at LPA,” said Clauren in a weather report late Monday afternoon.
(In parts of Caraga, Davao region, and in Soccsksargen, it is still possible for the ITCZ and LPA to bring rain there tomorrow.)
“Itong dalawa pong ito ang posibleng magdulot ng mga kalat kalat na pagulan diyan bukas, kaya pinag iingat pa rin po talaga natin ‘yung ating mga kababayan lalo na ‘yung mga bulubundukin areas at mga low-lying na mga lugar,” she added.
(These two are likely to cause scattered rains there tomorrow, so we’re reminding those especially located in the mountainous areas and low-lying areas to be wary of the weather.)
Meanwhile, the rest of the country — the entire Luzon, Visayas and the rest of Mindanao — will experience generally fair weather conditions with chances of rain in the afternoon and evening.
