MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) in the intertropical convergence zone near Mindanao will continue to bring cloudy skies and rain in Caraga, Davao Region, Soccsksargen on Monday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
According to Pagasa weather specialist Patrick del Mundo, the LPA was spotted 220 kilometers east southeast of General Santos City.
“Patuloy na pagulan dito sa Caraga, Davao Region at Soccsksargen pa rin ang inaasahan dahil sa patuloy na epekto ng LPA na nakapaloob sa ITCZ,” said Del Mundo in a weather report Sunday afternoon.
(Continued rains here in Caraga, Davao Region and Soccsksargen are still expected due to the ongoing impact of the LPA contained in the ITCZ.)
“Samantala sa nalalabing bahagi ng Visayas at Mindanao mainit, maalinsangang panahon ang mararanasan,” he added.
(Meanwhile, the rest of the Visayas and Mindanao will experience hot, humid weather.)
Weather conditions throughout Luzon, including Metro Manila, will also be hot and humid, said Del Mundo.
