Duterte inspects new medical facility for OFWs in Pampanga
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — President Rodrigo Duterte on Labor Day inspected the first hospital dedicated to providing medial and diagnostic services of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their beneficiaries.
Located on two-hectare land donated by the Pampanga provincial government in Barangay Sindalan in the City of San Fernando, the seven-storey facility was built on start-up funds by Bloomberry Cultural Foundation Inc. (P500 million) and Pacgor (P200 million).

The Department of Health and Department of Labor and Employment gave additional funds that were not announced in the event.
The Philippine General Hospital will provide operational guidance, according to Health Secretary Francisco Duque.
OFWs and their qualified beneficiaries can avail of services in the OFW Hospital, which Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello called part of the “Duterte legacy.”
Duterte said he was “overjoyed” by the cooperation of various groups to make the hospital project a reality.
“I look forward to a successful operation of this facility,” he said.
