Panotes’ daughter, Rosemarie, confirmed this in a post on Facebook on Friday, although no other details of her demise were shared. “It is with deep sorrow to announce the passing of my mother, [Rep.] Marisol ‘Toots’ Panotes— a loving mother, a living wife, a loving grandma and a good public servant. Your prayers will be much appreciated in this most difficult time,” the younger Panotes said. Panotes was part of the House majority bloc and a member of the ruling PDP-Laban party.
