LUCENA CITY––At least 19 drug suspects were arrested on Tuesday, April 26, in different parts of Laguna province, yielding over P103,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth).

Police Colonel Cecilio Ison Jr, Laguna police chief, said in a report Wednesday that anti-narcotics agents nabbed the arrested suspects in 13 operations against illegal drugs.

The operations resulted in the arrest of Jan Clark Corpus, 27, after anti-illegal drugs operatives armed with a search warrant swooped down on his house in Sta. Cruz town and confiscated 12 sachets of meth with a street value of P80,000.

Report tagged Corpuz as an alleged “high-value” target on the police drug watch list.

The other buy-bust operations in the cities of Calamba, Sta. Rosa, and San Pedro City, and the towns of Pila and Calauan also netted P23,540 worth of meth seized from 18 other suspected drug pushers.

The suspects were all detained and are facing criminal charges.
