CITY OF MEYCAUAYAN, Bulacan—Police arrested at dawn on Monday, April 25, a drunken man who broke into a nightclub after trying to get his mobile phone that he reportedly left inside.
Col. Rommel Ochave, Bulacan police director, identified the suspect as Edison Surob, 31, of Barangay Pantok.
Initial investigation disclosed that Surob and his two companions forcibly entered around 3 a.m. Thon Fhangs Resto Bar in Barangay Camalig to look for Surob’s mobile phone.
Citing the account of Anthony Geminez, the bar’s owner, the police said the suspects destroyed the establishment’s front door and managed to retrieve Surob’s mobile phone.
But the trio also stole the bar’s earnings for that day, amounting to P105,000, investigators said.
The bar owner immediately reported the incident to the police, which led to the arrest of Surob.
The police said the suspect’s companions managed to escape.
