PH logs 205 new COVID-19 cases – DOH
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Sunday recorded 205 new infections of coronavirus, according to its COVID-19 tracker.
The tracker also showed that active COVID-19 infections dropped further to 13,660.
The last time the country had active infections this low was on December 30, 2021 a few days before the number of COVID-19 cases ballooned due to the more transmissible Omicron variant and the holidays.
Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed infections is now at 3,684,500 nationwide, including 3,610,658 recoveries and 60,182 deaths.
A total of 19,592 individuals were also tested for COVID-19 on April 23, according to DOH.
Article continues after this advertisementThese new infections are also much lower than the average number of COVID-19 cases recorded from April 10 to 17 at 239 per day or a total of 1,674 recorded infections.
