LUCENA CITY––Police arrested Wednesday an armed drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in this city.

Col. Glicerio Cansilao, Batangas police chief, reported that anti-narcotics agents busted Jessie Gumban in Barangay Cuta at 5:24 p.m.

The suspect, classified as a “high-value” target, yielded 13.5 grams of shabu with a street value of P91,000.

Gumban was found carrying an undocumented caliber 9-mm pistol with five bullets.

Upon verification of the confiscated firearm, the issued service gun to a local policeman was stolen on Aug. 6 last year.

The police report also tagged Gumban as an alleged gun-for-hire.

The suspect was detained and will face a formal complaint in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Gumban will also be charged with illegal possession of a firearm and violating the election gun ban.
