Blackberry users can now view Metro Manila traffic

MANILA, Philippines—Finally, motorists with Blackberry smartphones can now get the free navigation phone application of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, its spokesperson, Alu Dorotan said Friday.

Dorotan said the MMDA navigation app for Blackberry smartphones developed by Pinoy BB Developer Group, was released Thursday evening and is now available at the Blackberry App World free of charge.

With the MMDA application, users can view the traffic situation along EDSA, C5, South Luzon Express Way, Roxas Boulevard, Ortigas, Commonwealth, Marcos Highway, Katipunan, España, and Quezon Avenue in Map or Line View.

Traffic bottlenecks can also be viewed as well as the MMDA directory for any traffic concerns.

The application requires BlackBerry 5.0.0, or higher to function properly, but “is compatible to most Blackberry devices,” Dorotan said.
