DOH tracks 365 new cases of COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday tracked the coronavirus infection of 365 more people in the country.

The DOH COVID-19 tracker found on its website nevertheless showed that active coronavirus cases continue to go down, with 17,863 as of April 20.

It likewise disclosed that to date, the country has a total of 3,683,932 cases of COVID-19 which include 3,605,879 recoveries and 59,990 deaths.

On Tuesday, the tracker showed 158 new COVID-19 cases and 18,815 active infections.

The DOH COVID-19 tracker further noted that 25,746 people were tested for SARS-CoV-2 on April 19.

SARS-CoV-2 was the latest strain of coronavirus that causes serious respiratory illness COVID-19. It has a number of variants, including the highly contagious Delta and Omicron, due to mutations.

On April 18, the DOH reported that 1,674 fresh infections were recorded from April 11-17.
