MANILA, Philippines — Isolated thunderstorms will cause rain in many areas across the country on Thursday, April 21, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical and Astronomical Services (Pagasa).

This, even as the weather will remain fair in general amid the predominance of easterlies or trade winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean, the state weather service said.

“Patuloy pa rin ang maaliwalas na panahon maliban na lamang sa mga isolated rain showers o thunderstorms dito sa Luzon area, including Metro Manila,” Pagasa weather specialist Raymond Ordinario said in a weather report late Wednesday afternoon.

(Clear weather will continue except for isolated rain showers or thunderstorms here in the Luzon area, including Metro Manila.)

“Isolated thunderstorms ang ating inaasahan dito sa Luzon bukas (isolated thunderstorms are what we expect here in Luzon tomorrow),” he added.

The same weather conditions will be experienced in Visayas and Mindanao: fair with chances of rain, lightning, and thunder due to isolated thunderstorms.

Pagasa likewise noted that it is not seeing any storm or weather disturbance forming within or outside the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three to five days.

Meanwhile, the temperature range in key cities/areas on Thursday will be the following:

Further, the state weather bureau did not raise any gale warning nationwide.

“Kaya’t malayang makakapalaot ang ating mangingisda pati ang mga may maliliit na sasakyang pandagat,” said Ordinario.
