MANILA, Philippines — With 24 COVID-19 cases, Pasay City has the most number of recently recorded infections within the National Capital Region (NCR) while five other cities logged no additional coronavirus cases, according to an OCTA fellow.

Citing data from the Department of Health (DOH), Dr. Guido David on Wednesday shared on Twitter a breakdown of additional cases in NCR cities recorded on Tuesday, April 19.

Pasay City, which has 24 additional cases, was followed by Taguig City, which logged 10 infections.

Manila posted nine cases while Quezon City logged seven, Caloocan City has six, four were recorded in Makati City, three in Parañaque City, and two in Las Piñas City.

Meanwhile, the cities of Mandaluyong, Marikina, San Juan and Pateros all posted one additional COVID-19 case, according to David’s breakdown of cases.

No new cases were recorded in the cities of Malabon, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Pasig and Valenzuela, Octa also showed.

The country recorded 158 additional COVID-19 cases on April 19, according to the DOH tracker.

This is the lowest number of new COVID-19 cases that the DOH logged for a day this year
