Six ‘most wanted’ nabbed by SPD in various ops during holidays

MANILA, Philippines — Six individuals who are considered “most wanted” in different police stations within the Southern Police District (SPD) were arrested in a series of operations during the holidays.

Reports sent by SPD’s Public Information Office showed that the top seven and eight most wanted persons of Taguig City Police Station; top eight and nine of the Las Piñas Police; top seven of the Pasay City Police; and top two of the Muntinlupa City Police were all arrested on Good Friday.

According to SPD District Director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macareg, two of the six suspects appeared to be already detained at the Camp Bagong Diwa Taguig City Jail Male Dormitory.

The two were identified as Jamoran Cayagcag (top 7) and Benjie Calma (top 8), both aged 29, and both facing homicide charges before the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 266.

Aside from the two, the following suspects were also arrested:

  • Gringgo Gallardo, 43, top 9 most wanted of Las Piñas City Police, who is facing rape and acts of lasciviousness complaints;
  • Alejandro Equi, 35, top 9 most wanted person of Las Piñas City Police, facing rape, sexual assault, and acts of lasciviousness complaints;
  • Ricky Dineros, 46, top 2 most wanted person of Muntinlupa City Police, facing cases for unlawful possession of small firearms and frustrated murder:
  • and, Gerald Pomida, 30, top 7 most wanted person of Pasay City Police, facing cases for frustrated murder.

No bail was recommended for Gallardo, who was arrested at the Lopez Compound in Las Piñas, as well as for Equi, who was arrested in Barangay CAA in the same city.

A bail of P120,000 for possession of firearms and P200,000 for the frustrated murder charge was recommended for Dineros, while P200,000 was recommended for Pomida.

SPD said the letters confirming the arrest of the four, and the issuance of the warrant for the two already arrested individuals would be forwarded to their respective courts of origin.
