Legal Education Board congratulates 2020/2021 Bar passers
MANILA, Philippines — The Legal Education Board (LEB) on Thursday congratulated the new lawyers who passed the 2020/2021 bar examinations, as well as the Supreme Court, educators, and the “relatively young” legal education institutions.
In a statement, the LEB dubbed the recently held bar exams as “historic,” having been “characterized by solidarity and genuine commonality.”
“Congratulations of course to our new lawyers and their families who have chosen to be part of the endeavor for the advancement of the legal profession. Your sacrifices, efforts, and optimism beyond compare have not been in vain,” said LEB.
The LEB also congratulated bar examinations chairperson, SC Associate Justice Marvic Leonen, and his team for “successfully shepherding the Bar Exams through the most challenging years in recent history.”
It also recognized top-performing schools, whose successes are “testament to their commitment to the ideals of perseverance and determination,” as well as the “relatively young” Legal Education Institutions that had a 100 percent passing rate: Jose Maria College, Rizal Memorial Colleges, Ateneo de Naga University and the University of Makati.
“These newly-accredited schools have showcased their inspiring commitment to their mission,” said LEB.
The board also recognized and celebrated educators, from deans, administrations, and faculties to support staff.
The SC earlier released the list of bar exam passers which showed that a total of 8,241 examinees out of 11,402 takers passed the 2020/2021 Bar Examinations for a 72.28% passing rate.
