PH receives donation of 75,000 Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine doses

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine government received on Wednesday a donation of 75,000 doses of Sinovac’s COVID-19 vaccine.

The National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 said that 50,000 Coronavac doses were donated by the Qatari government while 25,000 were from Sinovac Biotech.

The donated doses landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 and was welcomed by NTF COVID-19 chief implementer and vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr.

As of April 2, the country received 244,657,960 doses of various COVID-19 vaccines since deliveries began in February last year.

To date, around 66 million individuals in the country are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
