MANILA, Philippines — Erstwhile Tropical Storm “Agaton” has weakened into a tropical depression on Monday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.
As of 7 a.m., Tropical Depression Agaton was spotted moving north-northwestward over the coastal waters of Tanauan, Leyte.
It packs maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 75 kph.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 was lifted in areas where it was earlier in effect.
