Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra, Police Regional Office 4-A director, identified the suspect as Lorenzo Holgado, 55.
Police armed with a search warrant swooped down at 2:10 a.m. on the suspect’s house in Barangay Santol.
The raiders found two .45-caliber pistols, one MK2 fragmentation hand grenade, a .9MM-caliber pistol loaded with two bullets, seven magazines, and 61 bullets, all undocumented, inside the suspect’s house.
Holgado will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Act for illegal guns and explosives possession.
Police tagged Holgado as an alleged professional killer who offers his service to unscrupulous politicians.
The seized firearms will be subjected to a cross-matching procedure to detect if these were used in any crime committed with firearms.
Yarra assured the public that the police in the Calabarzon region would continue the intensified campaign against all forms of criminality to ensure peace and order in the coming election. INQ
