MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––The regional police office is deploying at least 1,500 police trainees for election-related duties in Central Luzon.

In a statement, Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay announced on Friday, April 8, that Regional Training Center 3 officials “turned over” the trainees to the regional police during a ceremony on Thursday, April 7, at Camp Julian Olivas in the City of San Fernando.

The trainees would be assigned to provincial and city police offices in the region, he said.

“Their deployment is dedicated solely to ensure the successful exercise of the right to suffrage of the Central Luzon electorate,” Baccay said.

He said the PRO3 command group and directorial staff would be active in the security preparations for the May 9 elections. INQ
