MANILA, Philippines — Rain will continue throughout most parts of the country on Friday due to the low pressure area (LPA) spotted near Surigao Del Sur, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Pagasa weather specialist Raymond Ordinario in a weather report on Thursday afternoon said the LPA was last spotted 180 km east northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur, moving within the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).

Meanwhile, a tropical depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is also currently being monitored by Pagasa, located 2,415 km east of Mindanao.

“Sa Visayas at Mindanao patuloy pa rin ang makulimlim na panahon na may kalat kalat na pagulan at pagkulog [dahil sa LPA at ITCZ],” said Ordinario.
