CEBU CITY—Two owners of a massage parlor and two receptionists are facing charges after National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents in Central Visayas arrested them for allegedly offering “extra service” to clients.
Mark Rhayan Belocura, 24, and his brother John Lloyd Belocura, 19, were charged on Monday, April 4, for violating Republic Act 10364 or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking of Persons Act of 2012 related to RA 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Receptionists Jessica Jane Alonso and Marisol Topacio were impleaded in the case.
The NBI arrested the four accused in an entrapment operation on March 31.
Rescued during the operations were nine therapists, including two male masseurs, from the MC Shield Spa Massage in the cities of Cebu and Talisay.
“The therapists, once chosen through a tablet at the reception area of the MC Shield Spa or the MC Shield Massage Spa Facebook page by the client who wants to have an “extra service” had no right to refuse,” the NBI-7 wrote in a press statement.
