MANILA, Philippines — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) said Thursday it is working on making the “flexi work” arrangement permanent for government agencies even beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
CSC Commissioner Aileen Lizada confirmed this in a Viber message to INQUIRER.net. According to Lizada, the flexi work arrangement is the “same as what is incorporated in MC (Memorandum Circular) 18. s. 2020.”
Under the said MC, government agencies may adopt any or a combination of the following work arrangements: work-from-home, skeleton workforce, four-day or compressed work-week, staggered working hours, and other alternative work arrangements.
“But instead of wfh (work from home), it will be flexi workplace,” said Lizada.
The said MC is only applicable during the period of state of public health emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lizada noted that the CSC is still drafting the policy for making the flexi work arrangement permanent for government offices.
