Cops nab 5 drug suspects in Rizal; P337K shabu seized

LUCENA CITY––Police on Thursday busted five drug suspects and seized more than P337,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in San Mateo town and Antipolo City, both in Rizal province.

The Calabarzon police said in a report that San Mateo police collared about 12:15 a.m. Allan Santos, Ariel Hersey, Ronald Anastacio, and Elizabeth Francisco after they allegedly connived with each other in selling a pack of meth to an undercover cop in Barangay Dulong Bayan.

Seized from the suspects were 10 sachets of shabu weighing 15 grams, worth P102,000.

In Antipolo City, Nestor Lora was nabbed in another buy-bust operation at 3:39 a.m. in Barangay San Jose.

The suspect was carrying 34.6 grams of shabu in eight sachets worth P235,250.

The police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.

The suspects, now detained at the local police jails, are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
