DOH logs 312 new infections of COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — An additional 312 infections of COVID-19 were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday.
This was taken through the COVID-19 tracker on the DOH’s website, after the agency transitioned into a weekly report.
Amid the continued decrease in reported cases, active infections, on the other hand, further dipped to 40,412.
Based on the tracker, the new infections brought the total confirmed infections to 3,677,924, with recoveries at 3,587,387 and deaths at 59,125.
The new infections recorded on Wednesday were also slightly lower than the average number recorded from March 21 to 27 (389 per day), but slightly higher than the number recorded on Tuesday at 246.
The DOH’s last weekly report, which was released on Monday, showed that a total of 2,276 infections of COVID-19 were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH) from March 21 to 27, showing a decrease from the total recorded the week before at 3,572.
