DOH logs 246 new infections of COVID-19; active infections down to 41,145
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday recorded 246 new infections of COVID-19 on Tuesday, with active infections slightly decreasing to 41,145.
These new infections brought the total confirmed infections in the country to 3,677,616, while the total recoveries slightly rose to 3,577,433, while deaths sit at 59,038.
This data was taken through the COVID-19 tracker on the DOH’s website, after the agency transitioned into a weekly report.
In the DOH’s latest weekly report released on Monday, a total of 2,276 infections of COVID-19 were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH) from March 21 to 27, with an average of only 389 new infections recorded per day.
