DOH logs 387 new COVID -19 cases; active at 41,846

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) recorded a total of 387 new COVID-19 cases on Monday.

The active cases slightly decreased to 41,846 out of the 3,677,376 confirmed infections.

So far, there have been 3,576,500 recoveries and 59,030 deaths.

These figures were taken from the DOH COVID-19 tracker online as the department has gone from a daily to a weekly report.

In an earlier statement, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the COVID-19 tracker would also eventually be updated weekly.

In its earlier weekly report, the DOH recorded a total of 2,276 infections from March 21 to 27.

According to the DOH, this total translates to an average of only 389 new infections recorded per day.
