LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities seized at least P1.3 million worth of alleged “shabu” (crystal meth) from a Cavite-based illegal drug suspect on Saturday (March 26) during an operation in Pili town, Camarines Sur province, police said Monday.

Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, Bicol police regional director, identified the suspect as Arlene Osolio, 57, from Dasmariñas, Cavite, and was arrested during a buy-bust operation along the Diversion Road in Barangay San Agustin, Pili.

Seized from her possession were 200 grams of shabu.

According to police operatives, the suspect has been under surveillance due to her alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade in Camarines Sur.

The suspect is detained at the town’s police custodial facility while the seized drug items were brought to the Camarines Sur Provincial Forensic Unit, Naga City for examination.

Osolio will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
