LUCENA CITY––A 69-year-old man died on Sunday, March 27, in a hit-and-run incident in Tiaong town in Quezon province.
The Tiaong police reported that Ponciano de Torres of Barangay Lumingon was about to cross at 8:45 p.m. the by-pass road in the said village when a van driven by Eljay Urcia hit him.
De Torres, who suffered injuries, died while being taken to the Liwag Medical Clinic in the town proper.
Investigators said both the suspect and the victim’s families were willing to settle the matter amicably. INQ
