Summer ‘flood’ hits Las Piñas homes

About 50 houses were submerged in knee-deep flood while residents of at least three barangays lost their water supply in the wee hours of Monday night due to a busted pipe. Authorities said the underground pipeline of Maynilad Water Services started leaking at around 1 a.m. near Plaza Quezon on Real Steet, Barangay Elias Aldana. The water quickly rose on a portion of the street and in nearby homes while clogging traffic in the area. The leak cut water supply to least three barangays and took about 3 hours to repair.
