Comelec to form task force against vote buying
MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will form a task force to investigate reports of vote-buying, Commissioner George Garcia said Wednesday.
“Bubuo ang komisyon ng task force para sa lahat ng ganyang complaints, reports, and whatever. Magkakaroon tayo ng task force para mas mabilis ang kilos sa atin,” the Comelec official said in a press briefing at a hotel in Manila.

Details are still thin, but Garcia said the task force will be composed of the Comelec, Philippine National Police, and Department of Justice.
The creation of a task force came in light of reports that politicians give away or distribute cash during campaign activities.
