6 nabbed in Subic ‘drug den’

SUBIC, Zambales––Six persons were arrested Tuesday during an operation that led to the dismantling of an alleged drug den in this town.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified in a report the suspects as Gilbert Encomeo, 32, the alleged drug den operator; Marco Copones, 30; Randy Oberes, 30; Danjon Bamba, 33; Rigel Tagulao, 27; and Ruvi Adaniel, 40.

The PDEA said they raided at dawn the area on Peñaranda Street in Barangay Calapacuan.

Confiscated during the operation were six sachets containing 13 grams of alleged “shabu” (crystal meth) amounting to P89,700, drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.

The suspects were detained and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
