Marijuana worth P600K seized in Bulacan

CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan–Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives arrested an alleged big-time distributor of illegal drugs in this city during a buy-bust operation on Saturday, March 19, authorities said Monday.

PDEA-Bulacan said they confiscated at least five kilos of dried marijuana leaves worth P600,000 from John Gabriel Gayo, 27, of Barangay Sto. Niño here, during the operation.

The marijuana were in six brown paper tubes, PDEA said.

Gayo will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
