MANILA, Philippines — Like her running mate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., vice presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte skipped the debate sponsored on Sunday by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and joined him at a rally in Malabon City.
Earlier in the day, Duterte returned to Bulacan province for the third time since the start of the campaign period to woo voters in Baliuag and San Miguel towns.
During a rally at the School of Mount St. Mary Gymnasium, she was joined by gubernatorial candidate and Bulacan Vice Gov. Wilhelmino Sy Alvarado, who earlier endorsed her and Marcos.
Also supporting Duterte were San Miguel Mayor Roderick Tiongson, Baliuag Mayor Ferdinand Viceo Estrella, Pandi Mayor Enrico Roque, San Ildefonso Mayor Carla Galvez-Tan, Bustos Mayor Francis Albert Juan and Plaridel Mayor Anastasia “Tesie” Vistan.
