Concepcion fish port rehabilitation resumes in Iloilo

The rehabilitation and development of the Concepcion fish port in Iloilo’s fifth district resumed despite facing years of technical drawbacks.

CONCEPCION, ILOILO — The rehabilitation and development of the Concepcion fish port in Iloilo’s fifth district resumed despite facing years of technical drawbacks.

An official groundbreaking ceremony at the project site was held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, in the presence of Provincial Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. and former Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr.

They were joined by officials of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The town’s fish port project is worth P150 million.

The local government of Concepcion expects the full operation of the project in 2024.
