Sipalay City gov’t warns establishments of fake orders, bookings

The Sipalay City government issued an advisory on Thursday, March 17, warning all resorts and establishments of fake orders and bookings being made by unscrupulous persons.

BACOLOD CITY — The Sipalay City government issued an advisory on Thursday, March 17, warning all resorts and establishments of fake orders and bookings being made by unscrupulous persons.

Resorts and establishments received numerous calls and texts from unidentified people claiming to be city government officials to order food, beverages, and even book rooms on Wednesday, March 16, the advisory said.

The resorts and establishments were advised to verify if such orders or bookings are authentic before acting on them.

“Verify first and kindly take note of the contact details and report to the LGU (local government unit) of Sipalay City Facebook page if verified as fraud,” the advisory added.
