BACOLOD CITY––A ticket sold in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, won the P98.5-million jackpot prize of the Grand Lotto 6/55 on Monday night, March 14.

The sole bettor entered the winning combination of 09-17-45-39-35-15, according to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

The winner, whose name was withheld for security reasons, must present the winning ticket and two identification cards to claim the check at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City.

Lotto winnings above P10,000 are subject to 20 percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law.

“Those not claimed by the public within a year from the date of the draw shall be considered forfeited,” said the PCSO in a statement.

Nine other bettors, who got five of the six winning combinations, won P100,000 each, the PCSO said.

At least 668 other bettors received P1,500 each for guessing four of the winning combinations, while 15,489 bettors won P60 each for getting three right combinations.

The Grand Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

For March 2022 alone, three sole bettors bagged the jackpot prize of the state lottery.

Last March 2, a bettor who bought his ticket in Cavite got the P8.9-million jackpot prize of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw.

Three days after, on March 5, a bettor from Rizal province received the P12.5-million jackpot of the Lotto 6/42 draw.
